Specimen Requirements

Amniotic fluid: 15-20 mls (dependent on gestation)

Chorionic Villus Samples (CVS): 10-20mg.

Aneuploidy Interphase FISH test for X, Y, 21, 13 and 18 can be performed on both Amniotic fluid or CVS. Results available within 24-48 hours.
